In Winter, I met a singer at Tingyue Bar in Houhai, he is the lead singer of therock band Matchbox P.S.L, every two days a week they came here to perform. I like the energy he has expressed in his voice and music, which inspired me a lot. So every week I would go to the bar to draw him while he was singing on the stage.

Preparing for the graduation exhibition, I made a series of Caged Man sculptures in different shapes and materials. But these were small experimental works, for the final exhibition, I planned to create a big spatial installation.
It started with a sleepless night, I took a roll of toilet paper as a diary and wrote down my messy mind on it. When the toilet paper roll was full of my writings, I took some photos for it, surprisingly, I was attracted by its flexibility in shapes, it could be any kind of shape softly, which shaped the space beautifully.

What’s the trace do I leave behind
in the city where I live for a while?
Standing alone in the cold wind
With all leaves left you
Before going to bed
I cleaned away the makeup with remover pads
to keep my face clean
But when I looked at the mirror
a question came to my mind
how about the invisible residue behind the face?
