In Winter, I met a singer at Tingyue Bar in Houhai, he is the lead singer of therock band Matchbox P.S.L, every two days a week they came here to perform. I like the energy he has expressed in his voice and music, which inspired me a lot. So every week I would go to the bar to draw him while he was singing on the stage.

After coming back home, I painted his performance images on the canvas, at this moment, I still didn’t know him, just listen to his music, this is how I felt as an audience.

After weeks, I have knew more about the singer, so the way I observed him started to be different, so I created new portraits based on new feelings.

I also painted a big paper to cover one wall of the study room.

Well, didn’t expect that my muse would be a rock bank singer, but through this experience I found myself need inspirations from someone different with me which made me feel interesting.
