This series of Persian Princess was created during my stay in the Philippines, where you could enjoy great nature and pure life. I brought canvas, paints, and brushes with me during my traveling, and created these paintings anywhere, this made my travel more interesting and meaningful because this is how I connected to the place and create.
This series of Persian Princess reflects my daily life in the Philippines. Making music, buying flowers, raining day, a delicious carrot cake, watching a new movie, talk to my boss, play with kids, these small things have inspired me to create these paintings, which made my daily life more beautiful.
In Shwedagon Pagoda, I was sitting in the corner to draw the big Pagoda from 4 pm to 8 pm, sometimes an old monk with a little monk stood there to look at me drawing, sometimes a few young lady who cleaned the leaves sat behind me watching me drawing , sometimes some tourist with SLR cameras took photos when I was drawing, but most of the time, it’s the little ants staying with me.
This is the way how I deal with the world and get my inner peace.
I was living in Iran for one year, in Tehran, on the snow mountain. That was the year 1395, in Persian Calendar. During the Persian New Year holiday, I took a notebook and several markers and started my first painting trip, from Tehran, to Anzali, Isfahan, Naein and Shiraz.
